TANDEM project presented at both ICAPP Conference & SNETP Forum
In April 2023, TANDEM coordinator Claire Vaglio-Gaudard provided an overview of the project during the 2023 International Congress on Advances in Nuclear Power Plants which took place in Korea.
Following on from this, on 16 May 2023 she also had the opportunity to present with Fulvio Mascari (from NEA) the two Small Modular Reactor (SMR)-related projects – TANDEM and the SASPAM-SA Euratom projects – during the #SNETP forum in Gothenburg, Sweden
SASPAM-SA aims to investigate the applicability and transfer of operating large-Light Water Reactor knowledge and know-how to the near-term deployment of integral Pressurised Water Reactors, in the view of Severe Accident and Emergency Planning Zone. The presentations underlined the main objectives of each project, their respective work programs, the first technical directions and first project results during the technical session dedicated to SMRs, Advanced Modular Reactors (AMRs) and advanced nuclear systems.
