TANDEM Consortium meets in Brussels
On 29 and 30 October 2024, the TANDEM partners are meeting in Brussels to discuss the project and latest developments. In this respect, during the meeting information was shared regarding public engagement activities, including feedback from the first local workshop held with participants in Finland. Furthermore, participants were given a tour of the recently published Modelica library, an open-source tool which enables the modelling of SMRs within different energy systems. Also on the agenda is the work relating to the techno-economic and environmental analysis, safety aspects relating to the integration of an SMR within and hybrid energy system and education & training elements.
Two workshops are also foreseen for day two – the first relating to the policy recommendations stemming from the project and the second looking at the interfaces between WP2 & 3. In addition, time will be dedicated to discussing the work ongoing under other projects of relevance (GEMINI 4.0 and NPHyCo Project), as well as information about the SANE project.
Several representatives from the Industrial Users Group have also joined the meeting in order to hear more about the latest work undertaken under TANDEM and a dedicated meeting is foreseen with the Scientific Advisory Committee.
