Today is the 3rd and last day of the TANDEM Summer School. Attendees learnt about the challenges relating to the deployment of Small Modular Reactors SMRs and their licensing, citizen engagement and the role of SMRs in terms of energy decarbonisation. Students had the opportunity to meet representatives from SMR designer companies, regulators, energy suppliers and researchers coming from both Europe and Canada.

The summer school gala dinner was also provided a great networking opportunity and meet new contacts in a convivial atmosphere with a magnificent view over Lake Como.

Tomorrow will be dedicated to visiting the SIET labs at Piacenza.
